I was reading the following clause in our constitution;
224. Time of election and by-election.
(1) A general election to the National Assembly or a Provincial Assembly shall be held within a period of sixty days immediately [240A] [following] the day on which the term of the Assembly is due to expire, unless the Assembly has been sooner dissolved, and the results of the election shall be declared not later than fourteen days before that day [240B] [:]

Just read it , think how stupid the people are with our General, according to this article the general elections should be held after "the day" on which the term of the assembly is due to expire e.g. in current case it is going to expire on 15th november 2007, and the result of the election should be declared not later than 14 days before that day i.e. 1st of November 2007.
Can you believe this is the document which should in theory govern the whole country. And I am amazed that those so-called free judges are going to interpret this constitution. Let me tell you the Judges like Javaid Iqbal will be able to even interpret this anamoly and will tell that this article applies to the assembly that is held in gove primary school every morning :)
